In this article, the author explores the nature of mimesis, a technique of non-biological reproduction. The author proposes to address a limit to what is available to human imagination by explaining why reflections on the nature of mimesis ought to address both the empirical event of infanticide and the more general arche-violence of the infanticidal, which compromise human sexual reproductivity. It makes reference to the works of Greek philosopher Aristotle including the book "Poetics."
