The article discusses the necessity of overcoming methodological nationalism in migration research and adopting a global perspective. Various books and studies on the topic of migration and border regimes are presented, which come from different disciplinary and theoretical perspectives. Two of these contributions are examined in more detail: the book by Tobias G. Eule, Lisa Marie Borrelli, Annika Lindberg, and Anna Wyss, which deals with the European migration regime, and the study by Laura K. Otto, which focuses on young refugees in Malta. Both works use ethnographic methods to examine the dynamics and negotiation processes related to migration and borders. The text emphasizes the relevance of a transnational perspective and also discusses studies on the governance of migration and the recognition of foreign educational qualifications. Migration research is increasingly attempting to overcome methodological nationalism and adopt a transnational perspective. [Extracted from the article]
[Extracted from the article]
