[Abstract] This paper delves into two major themes. First, it elucidates the challenges of arbitrariness that arise in data design and analysis, and advocates for the integration of these two processes. Second, it reflects on the training provided at DHOxSS and describes how the exercises conducted at DHOxSS managed to achieve integration of data design and analysis, and fostering active mutual communication among the parties. From these two discussions, this paper will emphasize the importance of "collaboration" in Digital Humanities.
